Melasma has been treated successfully with a combination of Tretinoin 0.05%, Hydroquinone 2% and Hydrocortisone 1%. Patients who have significant hyperpigmentation and also photodamaged skin may benefit from combinations of Tretinoin with Hydroquinone and low potency topical corticosteroids. These combinations are derivatives of the original "Kligman" formula and are often effective in treating hyperpigmentation. It is essential that anyone being treated for photodamage should be encouraged to apply sunscreen every morning.

A-Ret-HC cream is indicated for the gradual bleaching of hyperpigmented skin conditions such as: Chloasma Melasma Freckles Senile lentigines, and other unwanted areas of melanin hyperpigmentation.
