Introduction

Generic Diprosone is described as a topical corticosteroid Cream that is used for treating a wide range of skin conditions including allergies, eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis, and rash. These skin infections cause problems of inflammation, swelling, itching, and redness, which Generic Diprosone successfully treats.


Use

Generic Diprosone is prescribed for the treatment and prevention of the symptoms of skin allergies. It helps in treating symptoms like swelling, redness, itching, and allergic reactions. Also, the medicine is prescribed for treating asthma, arthritis, Crohn's disease, allergies, skin problems, ulcerative colitis, and many other conditions.


Side effects

The medication may cause some side effects; however, these side effects differ from patient to patient. The most common adverse effects are unusual increased growth of hair on the face diarrhea or constipation, headache, increased sweating, nervousness, increased appetite, restlessness, or difficulty sleeping, or body and upset stomach. Serious side effects include problems of bloody or black, tarry stools, restlessness, a false sense of well-being, eye pain, confusion, excitement, decreased or blurred vision, or bulging eyes, cough, or other signs of infection, frequent passing of urine, fever, sore throat, sneezing, hallucinations (seeing and hearing things that are not really there), uneven heartbeat, menstrual problems and mental depression. Side effects should immediately be reported to the doctor.

It is advised to store generic Diprosone topical at room temperature. Keep it safe from excessive moisture and heat. Do not store it in bathroom.

Important Precautions

Women who are pregnant or are trying to get pregnant must consult with their doctor regarding the use of this medication. Also, women who are breastfeeding should consult with their doctor whether or not to use this lotion. Patients who have suffered from allergic reaction in past or are allergic to medicines, food, dyes and other substances, should also stick to this advice. Also, inform your doctor if you have or have ever had diabetes, a circulation disorder, an immune disorder, glaucoma or cataracts. And lastly, do not apply this lotion to a baby or a child, unless prescribed by the doctor.


Dosage and administration

Patients must discuss the amount and exact way of applying it on the infected area. Normally, a very thin layer of the lotion is applied to infected area. The lotion should be applied to areas that are not infected. Also, it should not be applied on where skin has folds like armpits etc. Do not apply the lotion near eyes, mouth and ears. Ensure to wash your hands before and after applying the lotion, unless your hand is infected.


Overdosage

Generic Diprosone overdose does not cause life threatening problems; however, the patients should immediately be taken to the doctor, in case of over application of generic Diprosone.
