Hepatect PS contains the active substance human immunoglobulin against hepatitis B, which protects you against hepatitis B. Hepatitis B is an inflammation of the liver caused by hepatitis B.


Hepatect CP is intended for intravenous administration (infusion into a vein). HEPATECT CP is given by a physician or another medical professional. The dose will depend on your condition and the weight that you have. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dose for you. At the start of infusion, Hepatect CP will be given slowly, with a low infusion rate. Later, your doctor may gradually increase the infusion rate. If you have any further questions regarding this product, ask your doctor or medical staff.

Side effects

Like all medicines, Hepatect CP can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Rarely, the following reactions may occur: Chills Headache Fever Vomiting Malaise Nausea Low blood pressure Allergic reactions Skin reactions such as erythema (redness), itching Tachycardia (rapid heartbeat) Very rarely can occur following reactions: Severe allergic reactions (anaphylactic shock) Joint pain If administration of human immunoglobulin were observed as follows: Cases of temporary meningitis (inflammation membrane lining brain) temporary Fewer red blood cells (hemolytic anemia / hemolysis) Increasing creatinine levels (a substance resulting from metabolism) levels and / or acute renal failure The elderly, patients with signs of cerebral or cardiac ischemia, obese people and patients with very low blood volume (severe hypovolemia) were reported blood clots in the veins (thromboembolic reactions) If there is any reaction, the infusion rate will be reduced or the administration will be stopped.


Do not use Hepatect CP if: You are allergic (hypersensitive) to human immunoglobulin or any of the other components of Hepatect CP (see list of ingredients in Section 6). Important Precautions

Take special care with Hepatect CP (and your doctor) if: You are suffering from a condition involving a low level of antibodies in the blood (hypo-or agammaglobulinemia. Have had adverse reactions to administration of other antibodies (in rare cases can present a risk of allergic reactions).

Dosage and administration

Hepatect CP is a solution for infusion (administered into a vein) and is available in vials containing 2 ml (100 international units [IU]), 10 ml (500 IU) and 40 ml (2000 IU). Hepatect CP is used to provide immediate protection and long-term immune: In preventing infection with hepatitis B in patients who were not vaccinated or were not fully vaccinated and patients at risk of infection with hepatitis B. To prevent infection in case of liver transplant patients who tested positive for hepatitis B In newborns whose mothers are carriers of hepatitis B virus. To protect patients in whom vaccination against hepatitis B did not provide adequate protection.
